Following a three-year research and development effort, Ballard & Tighe’s new IPT® Testing System is specifically designed to help states meet the requirements of the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) and offers a comprehensive solution to all Title III assessment requirements for English language learners.

Features of the New IPT Testing System:

  • Consists of entirely new test items created to meet NCLB standards
  • Provides grade-span appropriate tests for all four language modalities
  • Reports the five separate scores required by NCLB: English language Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing, and Comprehension

  • Reports all five scores on a standardized vertical scale from Pre-K through grade 12, making Annual Measurable Achievement Objectives (AMAOs) easy to track through all grade level transitions
