Ballard & Tighe Will Add 20% Worth of
Instructional Materials for Orders Topping $5,000

BREA, CA – January 7, 2004 – Responding to tight budget problems facing educators nationwide, Ballard & Tighe has announced a program that will allow school districts to add, at no extra charge, 20% worth of instructional materials to any order for instructional materials they place over $5,000. This “added value” sales program will run from January 1 through September 30, 2004.

“If, for example, a school district purchases Ballard & Tighe’s Carousel of IDEAS and/or the Explore social studies programs totaling $10,000, that customer can select $2,000 worth of additional instructional products at no cost,” said Dorothy Roberts, the company’s president. “We are making a difference in education — again.”

School districts will have 30 days from the time of their initial order to select the additional instructional materials they want.

“They can choose from any instructional offerings that are included in our current catalog, and realize considerably more for their purchasing dollars. The beneficiaries ultimately are, of course, the students.” Roberts added, “Many educators find themselves today with less money to spend for classroom teaching materials. California and Texas, for example, have each cut budgets by 30%.” This reduced funding impacts products that meet the special requirements of students with limited English proficiency (LEP).
