Features of the Teacher’s Guide

As you have learned, the Teacher’s Guide is the orchestrating tool that explains when and how to use all the program components together in order to deliver the lessons. In this section you will begin to review the special features of the Teacher’s Guide. Let’s take a look at the opening page of a sample chapter, Unit 5, Chapter 1: From Here to There. Unit 5 is designed for students at the intermediate stage of English language acquisition.

Every chapter in the Teacher’s Guide begins with a page that shows the target vocabulary words and phrases that you will be teaching, the content emphasis, the reading selections, and more. Let’s look at each feature individually to get an idea of how this page can help you preview the chapter as you prepare to teach the lessons.
