Evaluation and Additional Reinforcement and Practice
End-of-Unit Evaluation
At the end of each unit, you will evaluate students’ overall performance.
Using the Unit Evaluation Form found in the Resource Book, you will indicate how well students met the criteria outlined on the assessment form. If the student scores “superior” or “satisfactory” in all categories, it is recommended that you present him or her with a Certificate of Achievement. Then the student is ready to move on to the next unit. However, if the student scores “not satisfactory” in any categories, you should provide additional instruction and practice to prepare him or her for the next unit.
Before you begin the next unit, you will want to record student assessment scores on the Language Progress Card. Instructions for recording assessment scores can be found in Appendix F of the Set 2 Teacher’s Guide.
