Evaluation and Additional Reinforcement and Practice
In this section, you will learn how assessment is integrated into the Carousel program, how to use the assessment tools and forms, and how the various assessments are scored.
Evaluation During the Chapter
During the course of the chapter, you will informally evaluate students by engaging them in individual or group performance-based assessment activities and observing their progress. One tool that you can use to more formally assess student progress during the course of the chapter is the Chapter Evaluation Checklist.
The chapter overview chart, found at the beginning of each chapter, corresponds to the Chapter Evaluation Checklist that can be used to track each student’s progress. The Chapter Evaluation Checklists are reproducible blackline masters located in the Resource Book. They provide a convenient way to measure how well students are meeting the learning objectives in each lesson and chapter.
