7. In each chapter, Lesson 4 is a literature-based lesson. The Teacher’s Guide includes pre-reading, during-reading, and post-reading activities that correspond to a selected literature book. All literature books are included in the Carousel literature book collection; however, you can use any literature book that is appropriate for your students. Appendix B of the Teacher’s Guide includes a generic literature lesson for this purpose.
