Areas Assessed
The IPT 2-Writing Test assesses the following areas of writing proficiency:
Part 1: Conventions –
This multiple-choice section assesses the mechanics
of writing such as capitalization, punctuation, and abbreviations.
Part 2: Write a Story –
Students are shown two series of pictures and are asked
to write short, descriptive statements about the two situations depicted.
Part 3: Write Your Own Story –
Students choose one of two story starters and write response to it.
Now that you are more familiar with the components and areas assessed
by the test, you have the option of taking a Quick Quiz or moving on
to the next section – Administration and Scoring.
