Pre-IPT Oral Test: Components and Areas Assessed

The Pre-IPT (Third Edition) was developed expressly to assess the oral language skills of preschoolers (3-, 4-, and 5-year-olds). It assists in the initial designation of students as Non-, Limited, or Fluent English speaking, and provides diagnostic information to help place students in appropriate instructional programs. The test was last renormed and published in 2004 to reflect current student populations.
